AKKUA was born almost as a promise between brothers. We are Pepe and Juan, and although our families are huge beach fans, we've always had a less-than-ideal relationship with it. We love swimming, soaking up the sun, and building sandcastles with our kids on the shore. What we're not so keen on is everything that comes with it. Sand everywhere, wet towels taking up half our bags, dirty swimsuits, a car trunk full of junk... You know what we mean. That's why one day, fed up with the hassle, we promised ourselves that we had to use all our knowledge and experience in the textile industry to create a towel that would 'make our lives easier'. That's how it all started. Research, lab tests, weaving tests, printing tests, finishing tests, colorfastness tests, mistakes, more tests... until we came up with a towel that truly met our needs. And so, almost without realizing it, after a year of development, our project was born.
